Viking/Beaver Family & Community Support Services Board is seeking a Member at Large to represent the Village of Holden (Living within the Village or surrounding area)
Viking/Beaver Family and Community Support Services is a partnership between the province of Alberta, Town of Viking, Village of Holden and Beaver County that develops locally-driven preventative social wellness initiatives to enhance the well-being of individuals, families, and communities.
A Potential Board Member is:
- Interested in the social needs of the community
- Will work collaboratively with other Board Members and staff to guide preventative social programming initiatives
- Provide direction and supervision to the Viking/Beaver FCSS Director
Potential Board Members will be asked to commit to approximately 2 hours per month for board meetings, as well as the occasional meeting/conference based on member availability and interest. Meetings are held the 2nd Monday of each month except July and August. There is remuneration for out-of-pocket expenses such as mileage, hotels, etc. A per diem rate per meeting is also provided by the representing municipality.

They will be asked to apply in writing outlining their volunteer experience and why they are interested in serving on the Viking/Beaver FCSS Board. All candidates must be approved by the municipality they represent.
