Beaver Ambulance Society operates the Beaver EMS in all of Beaver County, including Tofield, Ryley, Holden, and Viking. The society was incorporated in 1981 and became a federally registered charity in 1991. As a not-for-profit organization, the society gratefully accepts public and private donations to help with the purchase of medical equipment
There are two ambulance stations: one in Tofield and one in Viking. Both provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) units and certified staff. Ambulances are dispatched by the Strathcona emergency center in Sherwood Park using enhanced 911.
